About Twin Lights Historic Site
A twin-towered lighthouse perched 200 feet above sea level on the Navesink Highlands. This is the site of the first Fresnel lens in America (1841) and Marconi's first practical wireless telegraphy demonstration in the US. The museum covers the history of the bay and nearby wreck sites. Climb the north tower for views across Sandy Hook Bay to the Manhattan skyline on clear days.
