What to Look For on Beach Cams
Crowd Levels
Check how full the beach is before you leave. Early morning and late afternoon typically have fewer crowds. Weekdays are generally less busy than weekends.
Weather Conditions
Shore weather can differ from inland forecasts. Check for fog, overcast skies, or approaching storms. Use a local forecast for your intended time and location.
Surf Conditions
A camera gives a limited view of the water. Calm-looking surf cannot rule out rip currents. Check the local beach forecast and speak with the lifeguard before entering.

Where can I find live beach webcams at the Jersey Shore?
We link directly to live beach webcams from providers including LiveBeaches, Surfline, NJBeachCams and the official Wildwoods tourism feed. Wildwood, Ocean City, Cape May, Seaside Heights, Atlantic City and Asbury Park all have a live camera. Long Beach Island currently has none that we can verify, so its page shows tides and water quality instead.
What can I check using beach webcams?
Beach webcams help you check crowd levels, weather conditions, surf height and conditions, and overall beach visibility before your visit. Views can be delayed, obstructed, or offline. A camera cannot establish that swimming is safe; check the beach forecast, official advisories, and lifeguard instructions.
Are Jersey Shore beach cams available year-round?
Provider schedules vary. Check the feed timestamp and provider status when planning a summer visit or an off-season walk; this directory does not monitor camera uptime.
How often do beach webcams update?
Most beach webcams provide live streaming video that updates in real-time. Some cams may refresh every few seconds or minutes if they capture still images instead. Check the displayed timestamp; a provider page may show older footage or be unavailable.
