About This Ground

One of the larger sloughs in the Hereford Inlet 120-foot series, covering over 106 acres along the depth contour southwest of the inlet. The size of this slough means more bottom to cover, but productive concentrations of sea bass and tautog stack on the structure edges. Its western position makes it most easily reached from Wildwood charters. Like all grounds in this depth zone, weakfish and sea bass coexist; fall bottom fishing on the slough edges produces the heaviest catches. Heavy bottom rigs work best — current runs strong through this section of the 120-foot zone.

These different profiles constitutes a wavy area.
