Bank off the New Jersey coast
Anglers Bank rises about 19 nautical miles east of Sandy Hook, far enough out to escape inshore crowds. The bank's elevated bottom concentrates sea bass and tautog on the hard edges, with bluefish and bonito streaking across the top in summer. A second, unrelated ground shares the name closer inshore to the southwest.
