Buoy Area off the New Jersey coast
The Shark River sea buoy, barely half a mile off the inlet mouth. It is the closest 'ground' on this stretch of coast: bluefish push bait against the buoy on most moving tides, albies blitz within sight of the jetties in fall, and stripers stage here during both runs.
