Buoy Area off the New Jersey coast
The northern A Buoy ground, roughly 16.5 nautical miles east of Shark River — its sibling of the same name lies to the southwest off Manasquan. This is open-water trolling territory: bluefish and bonito through summer, tuna a possibility on the longer warm-water pushes.
