Wreck Site off the New Jersey coast
The southwestern parcel of the Paul Thummel Mako Hole, about 3,800 acres logged 35 nautical miles southeast of Brigantine Inlet. Fished together with its twin as one broad depression on the way to the canyons — tuna cross it, and its mako-era name still tells you what summer chunking here once meant.
The surrounding area is characterized with sandy and shelly material as a bottom type with lumps already known and described.
