Reef off the New Jersey coast
The larger southwestern Middle Lump, 122 acres at 18.4 nautical miles southeast of Hereford Inlet. Its rise breaks the long slope toward the offshore grounds; tuna spreads pass across it on the way out, and the lump can light up when bait stacks on its up-current side.
It is characterized by sandy in the West part of it and sandy and shelly in the NE part of it.
