About This Ground

A 73-acre lump 1.5 nautical miles northwest of the Triple Wrecks spot, deeper than 120 feet with surrounding structure at 110 feet. This is the most northerly of the Triple Wrecks outer lump complex, making it the first ground reached when departing Cape May Inlet. Sea bass, tautog, and occasional striped bass hold on the elevated structure. The 73-acre footprint offers multiple drift lines across the lump. Fall produces the best sea bass action; wreck structure also attracts cobia during warm-water months. Match slack water for the most productive drifts across the lump — current eases the approach and gives fish time to feed before the tide turns.

In the southern part of it there are more lumps.
