About This Ground

A 48-acre lump within the Triple Wrecks outer complex, 1.5 nautical miles northwest of the main Triple Wrecks site at depths exceeding 120 feet. This central ground links the northern and southern lump sections, and fish often move between all three on the same tide. Sea bass and tautog dominate the bottom; striped bass work the deeper lump edges at night during the season. The compact size focuses fish into a smaller target area, making this ground efficient to fish during a limited tide window. Cape May Inlet charters run the entire Triple Wrecks outer complex as a single trip, and this central lump is often the most productive anchor point.

In the southern part of it there are more lumps.
