Lump off the New Jersey coast
Tip is an offshore bottom feature in NJ waters near Manasquan Inlet, marking the tip or end of a ridge or ledge structure. The feature creates current breaks that concentrate baitfish and game fish. Sea bass and tautog hold on the hard bottom below while bluefish and striped bass work the water column above during fall migration.
