Lump off the New Jersey coast
Augies Lump breaks the flat bottom roughly 4.2 nautical miles east of Shark River. Like most of the inshore lumps in this stretch, its rise creates a current break that gathers sand eels and rainfish — sea bass and fluke hold below, bluefish and false albacore raid from above.
