The Spring Lake Lumps spread nearly 1,400 acres just 2.8 nautical miles northeast of Manasquan Inlet, one of the closest fluke drifts to the dock. The western of two same-named grounds, its rolling sand humps fish best with a breeze-driven drift across the ridges.
The surrounding area is characterized by mud material as a bottom type.
