A nearshore slough enclosed by the 30-foot depth contour, reaching 33 feet in the deepest sections, located 2.5 nautical miles northeast of Townsends Inlet in Cape May County. The shallow depth makes this an accessible ground for smaller vessels and an ideal fluke destination during summer. Striped bass and bluefish also work this slough at various points in the season, particularly during spring and fall migration windows. At 30–33 feet, fish concentrate in a compact zone and boat traffic is typically lighter than nearby reefs. Townsends Inlet provides direct access with a short run time. Bucktails and drifted Gulp are the go-to presentation for fluke in the slough channel.
