Reef off the New Jersey coast
M. Lump proper, a 29-acre rise 9.7 nautical miles southeast of Townsends Inlet and the northeastern member of a three-parcel group. Fluke hold the sand around the lump while bluefish, bonito, and albies rotate over it — a compact stop on the mid-shore circuit.
The surrounding characteristics are composed by sandy material as a bottom type.
