Buoy Area off the New Jersey coast
HA Buoy marks open water 30 nautical miles east of Shark River, deep into the transit zone between inshore grounds and the offshore lumps. The mark collects passing pelagics — bluefish and bonito reliably, tuna when warm water pushes the boundary inshore.
