Reef off the New Jersey coast
A tight 58-acre patch of rocks 5.7 nautical miles east-southeast of Shark River with an outsized species list: fluke and sea bass on the bottom, tautog in the rocks, scup and red hake on the margins, and bluefish, bonito, and albies overhead in season. Small area, dense structure — anchor precisely.
The surrounding areais plain in the East part with a wreck and inshore of it, contains the Rees and several lumps.
