About This Ground
A narrow, elongated fishing flat just north of Little Egg Inlet, extending outside the 30-foot depth line in Ocean County waters. The long shape creates an extended drift corridor perfect for summer fluke fishing. At 30 feet, this is prime summer flounder habitat — the depth zone where fluke hold during their inshore summer residency. Drift Gulp-tipped bucktails along the flat from May through September for consistent action. Long Beach Island charter boats and private vessels from Tuckerton and Beach Haven have fast access. Look for current edges and subtle bottom transitions to find the best fluke concentrations.
The inmediate surrounds are plain and Southern of it there is a lump called "Atomic Lump", A little bit SE of it, there is the Little Egg Reef.
