Despite the throwback name, warm-season action defines it now — bluefish and bonito over the lump, false albacore in the fall bait runs, and sharks drawn to the area's summer chunk lines.
The surrounding charateristics of this area is composed by sandy amaterial with an isolated slough in the NW part of it.
