Wreck Site off the New Jersey coast
Truro is a locally named vessel wreck or fishing spot off Barnegat Inlet in NJ offshore waters. Named for a vessel that sank in the area — the name Truro appears twice in NJ DEP records off Barnegat, suggesting a two-section wreck or two closely related sites. Sea bass and tautog hold on the bottom structure; fluke patrol the sandy edges in summer. Charter boats from Barnegat Inlet and Barnegat Light include Truro in their standard central NJ offshore rotation.
