Plain Area off the New Jersey coast
Large, narrow shaped spot. Follows the 26900 loran Y coordinates. 5 nautical miles offshore of Asbury Park. The north shore grounds are most productive from April through November.
The surrounding area is characterized with sandy material as a bottom type with isolated but described lumps.
