Full Access Zone — Sandy Hook is a NJ DEP-designated accessibility reef site in the Sandy Hook offshore area, designed to provide productive fishing grounds accessible to anglers and divers of all experience levels. The reef material provides hard-bottom habitat on an otherwise sandy seafloor, attracting sea bass, tautog, and porgy. Striped bass and bluefish work the area during spring and fall migration. A short run from Sandy Hook Bay and Highlands area marinas.
