Reef off the New Jersey coast
Despite the name, this 317-acre lump 16.7 nautical miles southeast of Absecon Inlet is logged as fluke bottom first — the bluefish of its title are the summer visitors over the top. Drift the rise for flatfish and keep a casting rod rigged for the surface intruders.
The surrounding area is characterized with shelly and sandy material as a bottom type.
