A slough inside a big area called the Rivens. 5 nautical miles from Monmouth beach ( 85 degrees T). Follows the 60 feet depth line and goes to 64 feet deep. The inshore surrounding waters are 45 feet deep. Summer flounder stack up in sloughs during hot weather.
The surrounding area is characterized by sandy and gravel material as a bottom type.
