Most NJ shore towns do 4th of July fireworks: Wildwood (over the Atlantic), Atlantic City (Pier), Cape May, Asbury Park. Some on July 3, 4, or 5 depending on town. Confirm dates ahead.
Arrive at the beach by 8-9am to claim spots for full-day stays. Parking lots fill 9-10am. Boardwalk-adjacent spots gone by 10am.
Belmar, Wildwood, AC are insane this weekend. Cape May, Bradley Beach, Spring Lake are busier but more manageable. Avoid Sandy Hook unless you arrive at sunrise.
Most NJ beaches still prohibit alcohol on 4th of July. Beach patrols enforce. Stick to non-alcoholic on the sand; save the beers for the rental.

Bradley Beach, Avon-by-the-Sea, Wildwood Crest, Strathmere are quieter alternatives to Belmar/Wildwood/AC. Still crowded but manageable.
