Plain Area off the New Jersey coast
The western lobe of the Lobster Claw, nearly 14,000 acres adjoining its twin to the east. Fishing this much bottom is a search problem — run the marks for hard-bottom sea bass and tautog concentrations, then let the surface activity call the trolling passes.
The surrounding area are irregular lumps and sloughs characterized by sand, shell, and gravel material.
