Why Point Pleasant for July 4th?
Point Pleasant Beach delivers a quintessential Jersey Shore July 4th. The Jenkinson's boardwalk complex has everything - rides, games, the aquarium, and the legendary Jenks nightclub for the 21+ crowd. The beach fireworks are launched right offshore.
What sets Point Pleasant apart is its balance. It's lively but not overwhelming, family-friendly but with options for adults. The boardwalk is compact enough to walk easily, but packed with entertainment. And the town itself has great restaurants beyond the boardwalk fare.
Point Pleasant is also well-located in Ocean County - close enough to reach from North Jersey without the extreme traffic of more southern destinations. Arrive early, spend the day, and the fireworks send you home with that perfect shore feeling.
