Atlantic City goes all-out for Memorial Day. The Soar & Shore Festival — the reimagined Atlantic City airshow, formerly known as Thunder Over the Boardwalk — headlines the weekend with three days of free aerial performances directly over the beach. This is the first year the airshow runs on Memorial Day Weekend (it previously ran in August), making 2026 the debut of what organizers expect to become the region's signature summer-opening event.
