Wreck Site off the New Jersey coast
The Finger is a vast tract of offshore-edge bottom south of the Absecon grounds, its long, narrow shape giving the name. Wreck structure within the area holds sea bass and tautog; sharks cruise the open water in summer, and striped bass cross the northern reaches in season. Its companion parcel lies northwest.
The surrounding characteristics are composed by sandy and muddy material as a bottom type.
