Labor Day weekend 2026 falls on September 5–7, and it is the grand finale of Jersey Shore summer: end-of-season festivals, boardwalk concerts, a last round of fireworks, and one more stretch of beach weather from Atlantic City to Cape May.
One thing that is not on the schedule any more: an airshow. The Atlantic City Airshow — long known as Thunder Over the Boardwalk — was rebranded the Soar & Shore Festival and moved to Memorial Day weekend, so Labor Day weekend has no shore airshow. The Jersey Shore’s September airshows come later in the month: the Wildwoods Air Show on September 12–13, and Ocean City’s Boardwalk Aerobatic Airshow on September 20.
