NJ stripers are slot-limit fish (typically 28-31 inches harvestable). Read 2026 regulations on njfishandwildlife.com — limits change yearly.
Spring: IBSP, Sandy Hook, Manasquan inlet. Fall: same spots + Cape May rips. The fish move with bait — bunker schools dictate where the action is.
Mid-tide is best. Stripers move with the current. Dawn and dusk are peak times. Plan around tide chart, not the clock.
Above-slot fish must be released. Use a wet hand, support the fish, snap a quick photo, release. Don't hold by the gills.

IBSP for surf-casting (long beach, 4WD access, less crowded). Manasquan inlet for live-eel jigging or live-bait setups. Both produce trophy fish.
