Most LBI municipalities require beach tags ($8-12/day, $40-60/week). Some rentals include tags; many don't. Confirm before arrival.
LBI has gear rental shops if you don't want to haul gear from home — Causeway Beach Equipment, Ron Jon, etc. $60-80/week for chairs+umbrella+cooler.
Plan a Day-1 grocery run after check-in. Most LBI Acmes are crowded 4-6 PM Saturday. Go early or pre-order delivery.
Rental house towels can be rough. Bringing your own beach towels is a comfort upgrade. Microfiber dries faster than terry.

Bring if you have it; rent locally if not. LBI gear rentals run $60-80/week for the basic kit. If you're making the drive anyway, bringing your own is cheaper long-term.
Manahawkin (just over the bridge) or Ship Bottom Acme. Both have shorter lines than the Beach Haven Acme on Saturday afternoons.
