About the Festival

The Festival of the Sea has been a Point Pleasant Beach tradition since 1979, drawing over 50,000 visitors each September. What started as a small community celebration has grown into one of the largest street festivals on the Jersey Shore.

The festival transforms downtown Point Pleasant Beach into a pedestrian wonderland, closing Arnold and Bay Avenues to traffic and filling the streets with craft vendors, food stands, and live entertainment. It's the perfect way to celebrate the end of summer at the shore.
