Gillian's Wonderland Pier closed permanently in October 2024, ending 94 years as an Ocean City boardwalk landmark. It is no longer operating — there are no rides, no hours and no tickets. The pier was known for its indoor carousel and the Giant Wheel overlooking the ocean, and the site at 6th Street has since been rezoned for a proposed 252-room hotel. For rides in Ocean City, Playland's Castaway Cove at 10th Street is still operating.
