About This Ground

A huge narow slough that goes from NW to SE following the 40 fath. Deep line. The deepest part is 42 fath. 52 nautical miles E (90 degrees T) of Barnegat Light. South of it, there is a big rounded lump that ranges from 36 to 21 fathom deep. The up-current side often holds the most fish.

The surrounding area is completely composed of sandy material.
