Airshow Viewing Tips

  • Arrive very early: Airshows draw enormous crowds, especially those featuring the Blue Angels or Thunderbirds. Arrive 2-3 hours early for parking and beach access.
  • Best viewing spots: Central beach areas directly in front of the performance box offer the best views. Avoid areas too far north or south of the action line.
  • Bring sun protection: Expect several hours in full sun. Bring umbrellas, sunscreen, hats, and plenty of water.
  • Beach badges required: Most airshows occur during summer when beach badge enforcement is active. Purchase badges in advance.
  • Check traffic advisories: Roads and bridges become extremely congested. Consider arriving the night before or using public transportation.
  • Rain dates and cancellations: Airshows may be cancelled or postponed due to weather, visibility, or military operational needs. Check official sources day-of.
